1000 Thousand Wildcats Giving $130

THE CAMPAIGN:

In 2020, the Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Incorporated Board of Directors, under the leadership of the latePresident LouAnn Gross, established an annual giving campaign that will serve as an ongoing anniversary fundraiser. Under my leadership, the incoming FVSU NAA, Inc. Board of Directors has voted to continue this fundraiser in keeping with this successful tradition. The Founders Campaign requests one dollar for each year the institution has been in place. Just as we donated $125 to celebrate the 125th Anniversary, we encourage you to donate $130 this year in honor of this milestone anniversary for our institution!

Specifically, the following areas have been identified to receive the proceeds:

(1) Gap Scholarship Fund; (2) General Scholarship Fund; (3) Cooperative Development Energy Program (CDEP) ScholarshipFund; (4) Athletic Scholarships and (5) Student Programming.

To accomplish this goal, 1,000 alumni, friends and supporters are each asked to donate $130 by the deadline. 

The mission of the National Alumni Association is to provide financial assistance and support to the students of Fort Valley State University as well as connect and reconnect alumni with each other and the university. The funds raised will be used to provide scholarships for students and to host programs and activities supporting our collegiate students and connecting our alumni members. 

As it is done with individual donations, our website and social media platforms will highlight group donations from Wildcats and supporters who want to represent their Alumni Chapters, Greek lines, graduating classes, etc. Each individual in your group must donate $130. Please note that you can donate more than the requested amount. Donations can be paid online and by mail at: FVSU National Alumni Association, Inc., 1005 State University Drive, Fort Valley, Georgia 31030. Make check or money order payable to FVSU NAA, Inc., “Founders 130 Scholarship Campaign” in the memo. The goal is to have at least 1,000 donors. The Founders 130 Campaign will begin on January 13, 2024, and end on December 31, 2025! Donations are tax-deductible.
